FULL IT SERVICE SOLUTIONS

Cavalier Ford is a Hampton Roads-based car dealership that employs over 230 workers. Their original IT infrastructure had their network vulnerable to malware, network latency, and management chaos. They were unhappy with their current support’s response time to resolving day to day and overall network issues.

THE PROBLEM

Cavalier was frustrated with current IT support and was suffering from a network lacking security and efficiency.  Network Security is priority but user efficiency is necessary.

THE SOLUTION

As with any Client onboarding, Layer 9 ensures a smooth transition from current management. Before implementing changes, Layer 9 came in and monitored current work flow. A custom plan was created to roll out a unified solution that would cater to the specific software needs of a car dealership. This solution also allowed for the same desktop experience they had at the store, available remotely. The store as a whole was secured by deploying anti-malware and virus protection to machines and adding user authentication to the network. 24/7 monitoring allowed for network bottlenecks and overused machines to be upgraded

THE RESULT

As a result, switching to a Managed Service company that provides automated as well as around-the-clock support gave the Cavalier Ford an efficient network and greatly reduced the day to day issues.

Tymoff Moss is an architectural firm located in Norfolk, VA. From their location in Norfolk, they have been able to design stunning structures all over the country with Layer 9’s CloudVue solution.

THE PROBLEM

Tymoff + Moss came to Layer 9 looking for a solution to make their design process more efficient. With constant internet issues and network speeds, they were forced to work their designs from individual machines and could not easily pull up plans while meeting with a customer.

THE SOLUTION

Layer 9 partnered with Tymoff + Moss to create a unified experience with CloudVue where they could design while in the office or remote at a customer’s site. Layer 9 was also able to save them money on hardware cost as expensive design machines did not need to be purchased and they could instead use thin clients coupled with CloudVue. Since downtown Norfolk is known for unreliable internet service, CloudVue allows Tymoff + Moss to no longer depend on the internet service at the office. Instead when experiencing slowness, they can pick up and go home or to their favorite coffee shop to continue working.

THE RESULT

Migrating to CloudVue allowed TMA to design more efficiently and from remote sites with the same level of functionality at the office.
